NBC Securities Welcomes Three Advisors

NBC Securities is pleased to announce the addition of three new financial professionals to our advisor network: J.D. McCarty, Brett Ellis, and Johnathan Horman. These individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise that will enhance our firm’s capabilities and strengthen our commitment to delivering flexible advisor solutions and exceptional financial services.

J.D. McCarty is a Financial Professional serving the central Missouri area for First State Financial Management. Being part of the Columbia, MO, community for the last 30-plus years allows him to comprehend the unique needs of the people and communities that call the area home. Understanding all facets of his clients’ financial picture to create a comprehensive, long-term financial plan tailored to meet those unique needs is J.D.’s top priority. He measures success by his clients’ ability to achieve their savings, retirement, and wealth management goals, and he cherishes the relationships that he has formed with his clients over time. Spending 25 years in the retail automotive industry prior to wealth management, J.D. is most impacted when he can help clients finish in a better position than when they started.

Brett Ellis is a Financial Professional representing First State Financial Management in southeast Missouri, including the Sikeston, Malden, Portageville, Hayti, and Kennett branches. He graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and brings extensive experience in the financial industry. As a former small business owner who grew up in East Prairie, MO, Brett’s connection to the area allows him to understand the unique needs of its people and communities in achieving financial success. Knowing each aspect of his client’s financial situation is Brett’s top priority. He builds his practice around values deeply rooted in trust, integrity, and building a long-lasting legacy. Using a consultative process, Brett creates comprehensive, long-term financial plans tailored to each client. These plans include an encompassing approach around tax mitigation, asset protection, retirement/pre-retirement investment strategies, and estate planning.

Johnathan Horman has over 15 years of experience in financial services and specializes in simplifying the financial planning process for customers by first listening to their needs and then guiding them to make sound financial decisions. Helping clients become confident and comfortable with their investment and insurance choices as they move to and through retirement is a top priority for Johnathan. He tailors each client’s plan to align with their specific stage in life and unique tax challenges, paying particular attention to protecting their family’s financial security now while also implementing investment decisions to achieve the growth necessary to fund a secure retirement. Johnathan uses investment and insurance products to meet client financial planning needs and goals. He is a graduate of Truman State University with a BA degree in Finance and a minor in East Asian Studies – Chinese Language, and he obtained an MBA with a concentration in Personal Financial Planning from Saint Louis University. Johnathan maintains Series 7 registration with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, as well as Life, Health, and Annuity Insurance licenses. His ability to dissect complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations will support our advisory team in making informed decisions. His dedication to thorough analysis and his innovative approach will greatly benefit our clients and our firm.

We are thrilled to welcome J.D., Brett, and Johnathan to NBC Securities. Their diverse backgrounds and extensive experience will undoubtedly contribute to our ongoing success and growth as an employee-owned, independent RIA. Please join us in welcoming them to our team.
